SATORI release notes

What changed in each version of SATORI. To update, get the new version from the download page and install it over the one you have. Your registration and the presets you saved stay as they are.

To check whether a newer version is out, click the plate at the top right of the panel (DEMO or your serial number) and press CHECK FOR UPDATES.

SATORI now runs on Windows, and the same serial works on both Mac and Windows. It is also lighter on the CPU.

New

  • Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) support, with VST3 and Standalone.
  • The same serial works on both Mac and Windows.
  • Lighter processing: heavy sounds and big chords use much less CPU.
  • KEY (transpose) now stays where it is when you change presets.

Fixed

  • Removed faint noise that DELAY and CHORUS made while nothing was playing.
  • Switching VINYL on no longer adds noise by itself. Turn NOISE up to hear it.

Effect on the sound

  • Apart from the noise no longer sounding while you are not playing, the sound is unchanged.

Project and preset compatibility

  • DAW projects and presets saved with 1.0.x open as they are.
  • Presets saved with 1.0.x while KEY was moved now load at the current KEY, not the saved one.

A maintenance update: a way to buy SATORI from inside the app during the trial, plus tidied-up notices and manual. The sound is the same as 1.0.0.

New

  • During the trial you can now open the purchase page from SATORI: “No serial yet? Buy SATORI” on the registration card, and a BUY SATORI button on the screen shown when the trial ends. If your computer’s language is Japanese, the Japanese page opens.
  • Open-source notices and licenses (THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt) are now included. On a Mac they are installed in /Library/Application Support/SATORI/.
  • The manual is updated for 1.0.1 (the purchase links, and where to find the trademark and open-source notices).

Fixed

  • Removed unused image data. The AU and VST3 are each about 4 MB smaller.
  • Corrected the description of the Percussive Organ factory preset.

Effect on the sound

  • No change. The sound is the same as 1.0.0.

Project and preset compatibility

  • DAW projects and presets saved with 1.0.0 open as they are.
