FOLKS Instruments (FOLKS Inc., "we") handles your information as follows when selling and supporting SATORI.

What we collect

Your email address and name at purchase, your country, the date, and the serial number we issued to you. Payment details (card numbers etc.) are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, and never reach us. The email address you enter for the free trial download, together with your OS, browser type and country at that time (we do not store IP addresses). After you sign up for the download, we may ask which DAW you use and how you heard about SATORI (answering is optional), and we keep your answers with your sign-up record.

What we use it for

Sending your serial number, update and support emails, and keeping our record of sales. News about future products and development notes is sent only if you sign up through the link in your purchase email, and you can unsubscribe at any time. The address you enter for the free trial receives the download links, three short notes during the trial, and news about new instruments; every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.

SATORI itself never connects to the internet on its own. Only when you press "CHECK FOR UPDATES" does it fetch the latest version number and a short note from our website. That request carries no serial number and no personal data.

Who we share it with

Paddle.com for payment processing, Resend for email delivery, Cloudflare for hosting this site, running our serial-delivery system, storing purchase records and forwarding support email, and Google (Gmail) for receiving support email — each only as far as needed. We never sell or hand your data to anyone else.

This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when you visit. The product pages load Paddle's checkout script, which in turn loads ProfitWell's script.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It uses no cookies and does not collect information that identifies you.

Ad measurement (Meta Pixel)

This site uses the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms, Inc. to send Meta page views, plays of the film and sound samples, free-trial sign-ups, and the start and completion of a purchase (no names or email addresses are sent). Meta records this with a cookie and uses it to show and measure our ads. For visitors in the EU and the UK, the pixel runs only after you accept the notice at the bottom of the page. You can opt out of ad use in your Meta "Ad preferences".

Session recording (Microsoft Clarity)

To understand how our pages are used, this site uses Microsoft Clarity, which sends Microsoft your interactions with the page (scrolling, taps and clicks) and a recording of the screen. Anything you type is masked before it is recorded. Microsoft records this with a cookie. For visitors in the EU and the UK, Clarity runs only after you accept the notice at the bottom of the page.

Retention and deletion

We keep purchase records so we can support you and deliver updates. To have your data deleted, email [email protected].
